The alternative Christmas market Tollwood offers a wonderful ambience and delicious food - I also love the location at the Theresienwiese. Unfortunately, the extremely high prices give the whole thing a somewhat unpleasant aftertaste. On weekends it's so crowded that you have to be very lucky to get a place in the tent. The fairytale bazaar at the Viehhof really surprised me in a positive way: nostalgic circus tents and fairground buildings, delicious food, affordable mulled wine and a decommissioned train carriage that serves as a bar. There is also a free daily programme of music, singing, acrobatics, magic, theatre and cabaret.
